The Central Oregon Winter Series, affectionately known as COWS, has been a staple for local golfers for some time.  The Modern Golf Club took over this tournament series in 2021 and is excited to provide a spirit of competition for the local golf community during the late fall, early spring and everything in between!

We try to hold 4-6 events in October and November (sometimes December) and 4-6 events in March and April.  The events are almost always a partner/team format ranging from fourball, scramble, shamble, three sixes and more!

The membership program will be for those that plan on playing in most of the tournaments.  The COWS membership fee of $75 allows early registration to ensure a spot in each field and includes a season-long money list bonus and potentially an invitational tournament in April based on standings/events played.

The cost structure for each event (inclusive of green fee, prize fund, KP’s and skins) for COWS members will be $60 for standard entry fee, $50 for golf industry personnel and $40 for golf professionals/host club members.  If you choose to not join as a COWS member, the event fees will be an additional $15/event and signups will only be available to you ONE WEEK prior to the event.

Central Oregon Junior Golf Association (COJGA), an organization that I hold near and dear to my cause, will be a big benefactor of COWS this year (and hopefully beyond).  We will commit $25 of each membership fee as well as $5/ event fee to provide golf learning opportunities to populations prohibited by cost to try golf.  If you would like to donate additional resources to providing meaningful golf experiences to our area youth, please let me know and I will put you in touch with our COJGA Board.
